Lyrics: Riding through this world all alone God takes your soul, you’re on your own The crow flies straight, a perfect line On the Devil’s Bed until you die This life is short, baby that’s a fact Better live it right, you ain’t comin back Gotta raise some hell, ‘fore they take you down Gotta live this life Gotta look this world in the eye Gotta live this life until you die You better have soul, nothing less Cause when its business time, it’s life or death The king is dead, the light goes on You’ll lose your head when the deal goes down Better keep your eyes on the road ahead Gotta live this life Gotta look this world in the eye, gotta live this life until you die

Black Sabbath frontman marks what would have been the late Beatle’s 70th birthday with song for Amnesty International

Ozzy Osbourne is marking the late John Lennon’s birthday by releasing a cover of his 1971 song, How?, with proceeds going to Amnesty International.

The single is an extension of the charity’s 2007 anthology Instant Karma, which saw acts such as U2 and Green Day covering Lennon classics. With permission from Yoko Ono, Osbourne recorded a mournful, melancholy version of How? The accompanying music video, shot on the streets of New York, sees Osbourne dressed in black and carrying a bouquet of purple flowers. He walks to the Lennon memorial in Central Park, where he lays the flowers beside the word Imagine.

Osbourne was born eight years after Lennon. Now he is 61, there is a real poignancy to the video in which the ageing rocker salutes a peer who never had the chance to grow old. Osbourne called Lennon a “driving force for humanity”. “The world stopped for me,” he recently told the BBC, recalling when he heard that Lennon had been shot. “I can’t even describe how I felt. But the amount of joy and hope that he gave people was just remarkable.”

Lennon would have celebrated his 70th birthday on Saturday.

….With parts of Diary Of A Madman….From Ozzy Lyrics: Screaming at the window Watch me die another day Hopeless situation Endless price I’ll have to pay Diary of a madman Walk the line again today Entries of confusion Dear diary I’m here to stay Sanity now and beyond me I will always love you However long I stay I will always love you Whatever words I say I will always love you There’s no choice Whenever I’m alone with you You make me feel like I’m hopeless Voices in the darkness Scream away my mental health Can I ask a question To help me save me from myself? Sanity now and beyond me I will always love you However long I stay I will always love you Whatever words I say I will always love you There’s no choice I will always love you Whenever I’m alone with you You make me feel like I’m whole again Whenever I’m alone with you You make me feel like I’m whole again I will always love you There’s no choice
