The Good Cook | The Only Gay On The Estate? | Futurama | The Rob Brydon Show | Camp Orange | Ozzy Osbourne: Thirty Years After The Blizzard

The Good Cook
7.25pm, BBC1

Cooking “restaurant-standard food from the comfort of your own home” might sound appealing to anyone whose idea of a good time is human-high stacks of washing up and a belief that Carluccio’s can definitely do it better than you. But for those drunk on their own culinary hubris, the producer’s chummy sell will leave you feeling short-changed. Thankfully, Simon Hopkinson’s approach is much more appealing: flat patter, five no-nonsense recipes in 30 minutes (tonight’s dishes include roasted peppers, steak and chips and grilled aubergines), and lots of real food love. Nosheen Iqbal

The Only Gay On The Estate?
7.30pm, Channel 4

A personal meditation on smalltown sexual frustration, Michael Ogden’s bold documentary is only let down by Channel 4’s penchant for an attention-grabbing title. Michael returns to the Manchester suburb of his childhood, where he struggled to come to terms with his sexuality. Reuniting with friends and family, he explores what motivated him to turn on his camp best friend David. Recognising that the prejudices that prompted him to hide his homosexuality were largely imagined, Michael finally comes out to his parents and apologises to David. Gwilym Mumford

Futurama
8pm, Sky1

Good news, everyone – Futurama is back with a new season! Actually, this isn’t the new, new season that’s currently airing in the US; this is the old new season, which saw the show back on regular weekly television following cancellation and a few movie-length specials. They start in the best way possible, by killing everyone off only to revive them as clones, a smart and blatant way to reset the show after past events. Tonight’s second episode is a little less impressive, with its marooning of Leela and Zap Brannigan on a distant planet, but it more than makes up for it with gags as Zap relentlessly makes his moves on the only woman on this world. Phelim O’Neill

The Rob Brydon Show
10pm, BBC2

A few surprises: the petite lady with a tattoo in the audience front row is not, as host Rob Brydon guesses, a beautician. Meanwhile, according to occasional Hollywood-botherer Matt Lucas, Tom Cruise is even shorter than we think. But how short? “One foot.” U2 suppport act the Script and ventriloquist/monkey-wrangler Nina Conti complete the guestlist for this welcome second series. It doesn’t get any cuddlier. Ali Catterall

Camp Orange
5pm, Nickleodeon

What would be left if you took the celebrities out of I’m A Celebrity …Get Me Out Of Here? Essentially, something a bit like Camp Orange, in which teams of British kids aged 11 to 13 compete in the titular Australian camp, undergoing grim insect-filled tests of endurance and initiative. Tonight’s opening double episode introduces the concept and lifts the lid on the selection process. Denise Lewis is on hand to provide “It’s not about winning, it’s about taking part”-style advice. Still, best avoided if you’re made uncomfortable by the thought of precocious tweens rapping about going to Australia. John Robinson

Ozzy Osbourne: Thirty Years After The Blizzard
9.40pm, BBC4

In the days before everyone knew how much he loves dogs and The History Channel, Ozzy Osbourne was one of the proper wildmen of heavy rock. It’s this side that’s the focus here, tracing his post-Sabbath solo renaissance with the late Randy Rhoads and manager/wife Sharon. Richard Vine

San Pedro was surrounded by all types of music and live stage shows, being raised in Las Vegas. The artist’s father was friends with Siegfried and Roy, which led to Nick having many opportunities to share his works with them throughout his adolescence. Roy was especially encouraging, and his acknowledgment of San Pedro’s talent was all the artist needed to believe that his artwork was truly magical. San Pedro’s love for music and performance led to the creation of many works of art that would eventually gain attention from musicians coming to perform in the entertainment capitol of the world. In 2002, while attending college, San Pedro was commissioned to produce artwork for ‘NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly’. The following year, The artist was hired to paint eight musicians, including Madonna, for the 45th Annual Grammy Awards Pre-Party. After

Sister and brother Lori Pacchiano and Ryan Pacchiano founded High Maintenance Bitch®, a manufacturer of sophisticated dog apparel and accessories, in 2002. With humble beginnings in their grandmothers garage, today they are considered leaders in pet fashion; their products are available in hundreds of stores worldwide and theirs was the first pet company to be invited to be included in the Official gift baskets for the Golden Globes. With a large fan-base that includes countless celebrities, it is little wonder they have been featured in a plethora of magazines and newspapers, radio talk shows, and have been GUESTS on such TV shows as The View and Tyra. They have hosted Access Hollywood and have been featured on Dateline NBC, The Today Show, The Simple Life, and The Osbournes. TV fans will also recognize Ryan and his dog Liberace as they were the stars of Bravos hit series Showdog Moms and Dads. Entertainment Weekly rated HMBs feather boas as one of the Hot 100 products of 2002, and High Maintenance Bitch was nominated for the Seattle Mayors Business Award in 2003. During 2004 HMB began opening the first chain of high end brand stores in the pet industry, and in 2005, Seattle Magazine named them two of the thirteen most Up and Coming influential people in Seattle as well as Seattles Best New Pet Boutique. In 2006, HMB celebrated the worldwide release of its new book The High Maintenance Bitch (owners manual), and calendar.
